Tailwind Aviation is at the Lea County Hobbs Airport, adjacent to the new terminal building. The airport is located on the western edge of Hobbs, and is just off US HWY 62/180.  We are a short drive to New Mexico Junior College, University of the Southwest, Lea County Museum, Lea County Convention Center, Black Gold Casino and Zia Park horse racing. The majority of the new hotels are also near these attractions and some offer shuttle service. We are approximately 20 miles from the new Nuclear Enrichment Facility (LES) being built near Eunice and approximately 35 miles from the site of the coming International Isotopes plant. We can provide you with a map of the local points of interest so that you can more easily plot your course while in the area.
